A question I ask myself daily is: what is the heart of it? I use this when I interrogate my own work to go deeper, when I check in with myself about how my perceptions and lived experiences influence my work—and what I hope can resonate with someone encountering it.

an excerpt from my poem, an open love letter to my baby queer self who often still haunts me and anyone else who needs this:

I love you without gravity. I love you underneath basalt. We are star-stuff love, we contain multitudes. You are loved.
